The purpose of group therapy is similar to that of individual therapy. It helps to increase our awareness of what is troubling us and to be supported in the establishment of new patterns. Unlike individual work, group work provides the opportunity to learn from others’ experiences, to realize that we are not alone in our struggles, and to be supported and challenged by multiple people in a safe environment.

Group therapy has been shown to be as, or even more effective, than individual therapy in creating lasting, positive change in clients’ lives.

Dr. Pederson currently facilitates men’s groups with the focus of developing more connection, integrity, and authenticity in life.
